Objectives
- Designed Specifically for Yoga Teachers to Teach Children Ages 2 to 15 Year Old, to Grow with Compassion, Joy, Peacefulness, and a Deeper Sense of Spiritual Connection.
- To Offer you an Education that Provides You with Yoga Teachings to Give Children the Tools that Empower Them to Face the Physical and Emotional Challenges Like: Restlessness, Lack of Concentration, Competition, Stress, Conflict Resolution, and Dealing with Feelings of Anger, Fear, and Powerlessness.
- To Learn and to Discover- As a Rahini Rocks! Kids Yoga Teacher, How to Teach with Creativity, Encouragement, and an Open Heart.
- To Learn Stories, Symbols, and Metaphors of Yoga Postures and Asana Flows (Vinyasas), and Pranayamas (Breathing Exercises) Specific for Each Age Group.
- To Learn How to Teach Children about the Importance of the Earth, Nature, Animals, and our Environment
- To be Part of a Yoga Program that Covers Yoga Games, Activities, and RAHINI ROCKS FUN!
Children's Yoga Course Description: "Yoga Alliance" Registered Program & Standards
- The Program is 95 hours: 87 Contact Hours & 8 Non-contact Hours
- General Background in the Specialty Area of "Children's Yoga": Study & Understanding of the Different Developmental Stages; Understanding of the Yoga Teacher's Relationship with Parents & Guardians; Socialization; Emotional Development; Cognitive Ability; Processing of Information
- Techniques: Training & Practice as they Relate to Yoga-Based Practices Appropriate for Child Development; Postures, Posture-Based Movements; Yoga-Based Games & Activities; Breathing Techniques, and Chanting (Sounds that are used for Relaxation, Healing & Focus)
- Teaching Methodology: Class Room Techniques & Class Room Management, Lesson Plans, and Group Processing for Children's Activities; Age Appropriate Teaching Skills; Effective Communication Skills Working with Children
- Anatomy & Physiology (Physical and Energy Body): Relating Specifically to Changes during Child Development; How they Relate to Movement Patterns; Gross & Fine Motor Skills; Balance; Body Control & Coordination; Body Awareness; Strength; Flexibility
- Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle & Ethical Guidelines for Children's Yoga Teachers: Basic Yoga Precepts as they Related to Children and Teaching Children; Ethical Behavior when Relating and Supervising Children
- Practicum: Observation; Teaching
